We stirred 2 spoons of sugar into water in a glass jar until it disappeared.
We poured 2 spoonsful of the sugar water into each foil dish for each child, adding a different food colour to each dish.
We left them in a warm place for minimum 3 days.
We found that it took the sugar mixture 8 days to dry out.
As John explained, " The water evaporated and left behind coloured sugar. " We enjoyed tasting the sugar crystals!
