Darrel and Aaryn on recycling duty!
It's often not noticed but our recycling efforts at Kirkriggs have really made a difference in recent years. We put out the blue recycling bins every two weeks to be collected and over the past 4 years have put out over 600 bins full of paper, plastic, card and food/drink cans. These items can all be recycled and put to good use. It is now an established part of school routine to minimise waste and reuse, recycle and repair.
Our children are the adults of the future and teaching them about the huge amounts of waste our society produces is very important. As the Eco Motto says: Think Global - Act Local!
