Room 8 has more fun at Forest School

Another geat morning in Linn Park!

It was a blustery day but thanks to Jacob, John, Keira, Mark and Jessica, we managed to secure a tarpauline for us to stand under when the light rain showers came down and to be dry when we did our wood cutting. It was too windy to make a fire but it didn't matter because we had so many new and exciting activities to do!

Whilst Joe and Jackie helped John and Jessica saw wood for our musical instruments, the rest of Room 8 made faces out of clay of the creatures of the Celtic Rainforest.

We pretended to be squirrels hiding our seeds before winter and then finding them again during winter. Oh dear! Some of us lost our seeds in amongst the leaves and others forgot where we had hidden them! Jessica found all three her seeds! Well done Jessica. You won't be hungry!

We were blindfolded and played 'bat bat/moth moth' game which was great fun!

We enjoyed a hot drink of tea, juice or hot chocolate and then packed everything away in the van.

We still had a bit of time, so we walked down to the bridge in the park. On our way we heard and saw a woodpecker in a tree and saw a squirrel amongst the leaves under a tree. There were a lot of dog walkers out in this rainy weather!

We made it back on the bus before the rain came pouring down heavily!
