Room 8 Ghillie Dhu's wardrobe

There's a magical realm on the western fringes of Scotland where the valleys and trees are draped with the flowery finery of miniature lichen and mosses - some found nowhere else on Earth. This special, enchanted place is the Celtic Rainforest.


Ghillie Dhu lives in the Celtic Rainforest in a wee house at the foot of an oak tree and he plays upon a whistle. Ghillie Dhu had been fast asleep all winter long in his cosy bed of thistledown and soft moss. It was time for him to awaken as it was springtime.


Room 8 gathered all kinds of moss, leaves, bark and lichen to give him a new wardrobe for the springball that the fairy King and Queen had invited him and all the creatures of the Celtic Rainforest to.
