Health Week: Sport is Fun!



Health week saw a variety of activities take place in the school which emphasised the need to make healthy choices in childhood which will stand our children in good stead for a lifetime. There was input on the need for a balanced and healthy diet as well as looking at the need to link this to regular exercise to help keep our bodies well and fit. Of course there is more to well being than looking after our bodies. Children learned more about emotional well being and the importance of good relationships to health and happiness. The whole week was a great success and offered the children a wide and varied selection of activities.

For the older children one of the highlights was the arrival of a team of  coaches in the school who led them through a variety of active and enjoyable activities. The children had a great time and learned that keeping fit and well can be fun!
