Learning in our community : Room 7 visiting the shops

A trip to the local shops is a valuable learning experience for Room 7. Road traffic is always busy in our local area and we are learning how to choose a safe crossing point and get across the road safely. A trip to the shop teaches us about money and how it is exchanged for goods. We looked at dates on things, prices and saw labels and signs everywhere. We also had to look for the 'Post Office' sign as we had a parcel to post!

Our local shops are very welcoming and we have a good selection to choose from

Emily chose some cold meat for sandwich making

Saeed paid the shopkeeper for our  goods. He got the change back too.

We also went to the post Office to send back recyclable ink cartridges from our school photocopier.
