A great day out!

The whole school had a great time at Flip Out indoor trampoline centre. Everyone was jumping, bouncing, laughing and enjoying a great day. There were things to do for all ages.

Sean was battling Emma on the beam/ It was very good fun.

After Flip Out we went to McDonald's and they catered for over 70 of us!

After lunch we went to Cunningar Loop adventure playground. It was great fun. The children enjoyed some splendid weather as they played in this excellent park. It was one of our best outings ever!

Room 7 Den Building & Working Together

Den building allows our children to work together, negotiate roles and division of labour. It also demands that they think, problem solve and collaborate to achieve success.

Emma as always demonstrated her leadership skills

The big den is taking shape!

Darrel wanted to build his own den in the Pirate ship

Ayman loved working to build a den then he sat in it for a long time!

Sean used the wooden bridge to help build his den

Aaryn was delivering things each group needed to build their den

Kulatein was chilling in the big den

Den building is good fun

Darrel suggested using a tarpaulin as a blanket. Good thinking!

Karate Class Excelling!

The hard working children in our School Karate Club were receiving their gradings recently and it was marvellous to see the progress they have been making. Gerry who teaches them is very impressed with their listening skills, attitude and hard work. The children are learning the discipline and respect which Karate teaches as well as the skills required to carry out the various moves. Well done to all of them and a big thank you to our 'Sensei' Gerry.

Some of our children showing what they have learned.

Room 7 complete their movie!

Room 7 have made a movie called 'A Trip to Mars!' They had to brain storm ideas, write a script, learn their lines and decide what to wear. It was great fun as well as great learning.

Of course during filming there were the occasional mistake and lots of giggles from some of our actors. We will ask the Head Teacher if we can show our movie to the school at one of our assemblies.

The Bloopers were funny as always!

Did a fly get in Emma's eye?

Sean got the giggles and it spread!

Emma not quite ready to begin!

Making a Falcon paper aeroplane

The children in Room 8 are fast becoming great engineers with making fidget spinners last week and now Falcon  paper aeroplanes!

They carefully followed all the cutting and folding instructions.

When everyone had completed their earoplanes, they went outside to test them and see which one could fly the farthest in the strong wind.

They measured the distance using a metre stick and used chalk to mark where they had landed.

Jacob's aeroplane flew the farthest from the Starting line:
9 metres!
 Well done to everyone.
It was a gusty wind day and difficult to fly your planes.

We have had great fun during our STEM activities this term!
