Room 9 are learning about World War One
Room 9 are going to study the First World War this term. They will learn about the damage war can do to people and to countries.
They will know that soldiers from all over the world fought in the war.
They will look at life in the trenches and how it was a miserable experience for so many men.
They will learn about Scotland's role in the war and the effect it had on the country.
They will know that the war devastated towns and villages in Belgium, Turkey, France, Russia and many other countries.
They will learn about the role of soldiers from what was the British Empire then and how they fought too.
Most of all though, they will learn that war is a dreadful thing and we must all try to make sure it never happens again.

Room7 - Apple Boats
Room 7 decided that this weeks baking would be to make apple boats.
So, we during our shopping trip to Tesco we bought all the ingredients we needed.

Room 3 - Outdoor Play
We had fun learning and playing outside.
Jack enjoyed riding the bike around the track.
Lexi and Rayyan played in the car. Beep Beep!
Rayyan played with the sand. He used the sand to make the toy spin.
Maye played in the outdoor kitchen.
Lexi helped Maye in the kitchen.
Jack joined in too!
Lexi had a go on the slide...weeeeeeeee!
Rayyan and Lexi played with the car garage.
Rayyan and Maye pushed the dolls in the pram.
We had great fun playing and exploring outside!

This week in Room 9
It has been a busy but happy week in Room 9. We did lots of different activities and learned a lot.
We were counting how many sweets were in a box of Celebrations!
Harris counted 72. So we separated them into different sorts.
Leon was painting a landscape for our dinosaur topic.
The finished landscape had dinosaurs on it. It looks good!
Harris and Aman were putting the scales on a Tyrannosaurus Rex
Later in the week we visited the Glass House at Queen's Park
We saw lots of giant goldfish and algae eaters
We saw a corn snake!
There was a newt in the water. It is an amphibian
and can live in or out of water.
Jamie and Shah were counting cubes and joining sets
Aman was concentrating very hard
Mazi and Liam were learning about tens and units
