Term 2 Highlights from Room 9

Term 2 has flashed by so fast

So many things we've done

From working well together

To finding that learning's fun

So here are some of our highlights

It has really been quite a blast

In a busy term with lots to do

The time flew by so fast!

We loved our trips out of school

We had fun on positive play

The Science Centre was pretty cool

and we loved the Christmas play!

We learned about Division

And Multiplication too

and how to do experiments

and help each other through

We loved the songs and stories

and playing with our friends

but now it's time to have a rest

before we do it all again!

So thank you friends and family

our staff and teachers too

Room 5 - end of Term 2

Room 5 have been very busy in Term 2. We enjoyed making the bags as well as baking for the Christmas Fayre. We didn't let all the Christmas activities get in the way of our topic on our Amazing Bodies and loved the different experiments. We enjoyed learning about the heart but were not too sure about our digestive system and making our own "poo".

Room 3 and friends - Christmas Fun

 This week room 3 have had lots of fun getting ready for Christmas!

We decorated our tree and dressed up for a party! :)

Dejna danced around the tree!

Jack put on some lovely decorations!

 

Tiano is so happy with all the decorations. :)

We dressed up for our Christmas assembly.

Kelsey and Michael were wise men and women - They look so fancy in their outfits!

Mary and Joseph are ready with their baby.

The shepherd came to visit them at the tree. Don't they look great!

At Linn Park this week we met some of Santa's reindeer and had a go on his sleigh. 

The boys and girls loved Santa's sleigh. They even got to pat the reindeer.

What a great surprise! Santa was at Linn Park and gave all the boys and girls a chocolate treat to take home! Thanks Santa!

Room 3 - We can count to 20!

This week we have been counting to 20! Look at Jack and Dejna doing great counting and matching! :)

Science Can Be Fun

The after School science club is proving to be a real success with our children finding that learning can be fun as well as stimulating and motivating. Mr Marrinan and Miss Somers delivered our latest session and the group thoroughly enjoyed the practical experiments. Some tricky scientific concepts were explored using every day objects. We learned how to make and capture carbon dioxide gas, what happens when Mentos are added to cola and what static electricity can do! We also found out how to dissolve egg shells without harming the egg!

Woops! Sometimes surprising things can happen when vinegar and baking soda mix!

James was a great budding scientist & listened to instructions very well.

 

Learning in Room 3

Room 3 have been busy this week.

We have been learning our numbers to 20. Jack did this jigsaw all by himself!

The children have been working independently on lots of different tasks. Look at how hard they are working! :)

 

Jack and Tiano watched the snow falling out the window. Hopefully we will be able to play in the snow soon!

Dejna and Jack spent time learning how to work the b-bots. They pressed the buttons and the b-bots started to move around the mat. It was really interesting! :D
